Dr. Jennifer Thompson participated in a panel presentation at the Administration for Children and Families’ National Research Conference on Early Childhood on July 13, 2016. The presentation was entitled: Using Evaluation to Build a High-Quality Pre-K System: Lessons from Year 1 of NYC’s Pre-K For All Initiative.
In May 2016, Branch Associates was awarded a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services, Bureau of Procurement for the following service category: Management General Government Operations – Program Evaluation and Benchmarking.
In May 2016, Branch Associates was awarded a contract with the NYC Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO) to conduct a study of the Work Progress Program. Branch Associates will be partnering with McClanahan Associates on the evaluation.
Branch Associates’ report Philadelphia’s Nonprofit Human Service Organizations: How African American-Led Organizations Differ from White-Led Organizations was publicly released on April 28, 2016. The study was commissioned by the Philadelphia African American Leadership Forum with funding from the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and support from the Urban Affairs Coalition. In March 2016, the New York City Department of Education released Branch Associates’ report New York City’s Pre-K for All: Family Perceptions. Branch Associates is working with Westat and Metis Associates on an evaluation of New York City’s Pre-K for All program for the NYC Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO). In August 2015, Westat, Inc., Metis Associates, and Branch Associates were awarded a contract with the NYC Center for Economic Opportunity to conduct a study of the Young Adult Literacy Bridge Program.
In March 2015, Branch Associates, Inc. was awarded an IDIQ under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Program Support Center (PSC) IDIQ Task Order Contracts. The award is for five years (2015-2020).
Starting in 2015, Metis Associates and Branch Associates will be conducting a 7-year evaluation of the School District of Philadelphia’s GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) College Readiness Collaborative Community Initiative.
